With almost a decade of industry experience, Vincent DeLuca contracts with post-production houses and advertising agencies in the Bay Area as an editor and motion graphics artist. His work includes post-production for documentaries, commercial spots, short films, and web content.
Growing up on the East Coast, Vin took an avid interest in film-making and visual storytelling. Using two VCRs as a makeshift editing station, he and his younger brother Stephen produced, shot, and edited several short videos.
Vin enrolled in film school at North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where he spent 2 years directing and editing several student productions. In the summer of 2000, he moved with his brother across the country, settling in the San Francisco Mission District and studying at the Academy of Art University.
Working as an intern at the post-production company Jump Ship Studios, Vin honed his skills on Avid workstations, and eventually cut a short documentary named “Crux”, which went on to be featured in the Sacramento Film Festival.
After several years of freelancing as an Assistant Editor in San Francisco, Vin broke into a position at the world-renowned advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Within 5 years, he worked his way up from Assistant to Editor, made the transition from Avid to FCP, and began learning Adobe After Effects.
After a year-long hiatus traveling and rock climbing in remote locations around South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, Vin came back to San Francisco to restart his career as a self-employed Editor and Motion Graphics Artist.
He now works out of his home studio in the heart of San Francisco next to Alamo Square Park, where he resides with his wife and 3 cats. In his spare time, he pursues his love of rock climbing, juggling, and fire performance.
